Top 5 Upcoming Anime Spring, 2020 (Non-Sequels)

 Top 5 Upcoming Anime Spring, 2020 (Non-Sequels)

Now that we have finally entered the Spring season. The inevitable question has popped up.

Which anime to watch this season?

As you can see from the title, it’s exactly what we are going to talk about today.

From intense supernatural stuff to bold slice of life drama. Let’s see what kind of anime are we getting next month?

Release date: April 5th Synopsis

Despite being an excellent student, Shuichi Kagaya can hardly be considered a human at all.

One day, he woke up as a monster with insane brute strength, strong sense of smell, hatred, and depression. He had lost his humanity. He just doesn't know who he is anymore. How long can he cope with this new way of living?

The trailer was intense. There was some crazy animation, and sound effects. Seems like this anime is going to be a little disturbing. Well, if you are into rough bloody moments, this anime might just be the thing that becomes your favorite anime of this season.

2-Otome Game no Hametsu Flag Shika Nai Akuyaku Reijou ni Tensei shiteshimatta...

English name:  Hamefura, I Reincarnated into an Otome Game as a Villainess With Only Destruction Flags…

Release date: April 5th

An eight year old girl named Katarina Claes is the only daughter of a prestigious threshold. She was living a peaceful life until the day she hit her head and remembered that she actually used to be an otaku.

One day, she died on her way to school, she had been playing Fortune Lovers all night long.

Now that she had remembered the truth, she looks around again and realizes that the world she is in, is the same as the world of the game she was playing. And to her surprise, she is the main villainess of this world…

As obvious as it already is, this anime is an Isekai. Still, the plot is interesting enough so it has to be good, right?

Let’s just hope that they do not ruin it for the sake of some unnecessary fan service.

3-Yesterday wo Utatte

English name: Sing "Yesterday" for Me

Release date: April 5th

Rikuo Uozumi is a tired college graduate.

He doesn’t have much ambition so he decides to start working at a convenience store. Time gradually starts to pass by without the happening of anything out of the ordinary.  Until the day, Rikuo meets his former girlfriend whom he still has feelings for…

The main character isn't a high school student so we can probably expect this anime to be a lot mature than the average slice of life anime.

The title intrigues me, I wonder if there's more to it than what appears on the surface. Still, this anime's manga did very well so it is definitely worth watching.

Especially if you are into relationships between adults.

English name: Hidden things

Release date: April 2nd

Gotou Kakushi is an artist, he draws a vulgar manga and then hides it from his little daughter. To put it bluntly, he takes extreme pride in drawing that manga and also gets extremely uncomfortable at the thought of his daughter seeing that manga.

Just like that, the story of one lone manga creator begins!

Seems like a father-daughter tale of drama and laughter. This may seem like a bland plot but the trailer obviously says otherwise. This father isn't like one of those exhausted gentlemen that are always whining and worrying.

He seems to be bold and ambitious, yet being a compassionate father at the same time.

This is going to be interesting.

Release date: April 4th

The story takes place where the concept of music doesn’t exist.

A boy comes across a mysterious girl named Myuu who has an audio input jack in her body. The two of them together go on a journey to bring music back to life. But will it really be that simple?

When I saw the title of this anime the first thing that came to my mind was a short animated film called Shelter. If you haven’t watched it yet. Go search it up on Youtube, it is only about six minutes long, yet so full of emotions.

As I was saying, this anime reminded me of shelter but this anime doesn’t appear to be like Shelter. It was just a false alarm.

So these were the top five anime that are going to air in the first week of April. All of them appear to be worth watching so definitely give them a try.

Before you leave there is another anime that you might want to know about.

Almost everyone’s been talking about it.

The reason why it is at the end of this list is that it is not premiering in spring.

It is premiering in Summer

Kanojo, Okarishimasu

English name:  Rent-a-Girlfriend, Kanokari

Release date:  In July Synopsis

A college student named Kazuya Kinoshita gets dumped by his girlfriend, to get rid of his loneliness he rents a girlfriend through a popular mobile app. A stunningly beautiful girl who looks perfect in every possible way shows up, her name is Chizuru Mizuhara, in addition to her looks she also has a kind and caring personality.

After their first date. Despite her wonderful appearance and caring personality, Kazuya still gives her a negative rating for a few reasons.

1-He got influenced by her previous ratings

2-He still hadn’t overcome the shock of his breakup with his actual girlfriend.

Chizuru gets agitated by his rating and shows her true personality which happens to be the complete opposite of what she portrayed herself on their first rent-a-date…

At one instance, Kazuya receives the news of his grandmother’s collapse, he was on another rent-adate with Chizuru so he brings her along with him.

While his Grandmother's condition turns out to be nothing serious. She believes that Kazuya has finally found himself a good girlfriend.

Seeing her this happy, Kazuya was unable to tell her the truth.

And just like that, Chizu is forced into a fake relationship with Kazuya.

This anime seems to be a combination of both Nichijou and Golden time. There is definitely going to be some kind of a Harem, and the setting isn’t a high school.

On top of that, there have been an awful lot of teasers for this anime so, it has to live up to its hype, right?

Not to mention, the manga is killing it.

That’s all folks!!!
